The new rooms in the “Melbourne Wing” been delightfully decorated and furnished to the highest specification (all with Ensuite facilities), but each individual room in the Melbourne wing has its own external door leading on to its own paved patio space with comfortable chairs to relax and enjoy the fresh air. Nurse Calls are incorporated to all rooms.

Network 11 Nurse Call Installation

Specialist Alarm Services (SAS) Network 11 Nurse Call Installation is an addressable nurse call system designed to work as the name implies, on a simple electronic network. The new system is used throughout the UK in hospitals, nursing and care homes.

How does it work – Residents and staff initiate calls from a range of nurse call points in the individual’s room, communal areas and linking corridors.  The room’s identity is then displayed on the indicator panels at various digital display stations around the care home, they can also be sent to radio pagers for staff who are on the move. After answering a call, staff can register their presence in a room allowing other staff members to locate them. Another feature enables staff to log their attendance, or visit, to a room when carrying out regular checks. All activities in the nurse call system is recorded and monitored by the computer in the Manager’s office.

NETWORK 11 has also been incorporated in the existing house and the old Canberra Wing (Constructed in 1997) extension and replaced the existing installation with this high-tech alternative. Because Network 11 requires minimal wiring it has easily been incorporated into the existing house with little or minimal disruption.
